I made a HUGE mistake in not really studying compensation plans. I was making $20,000 a month and all was good. Because of difference circumstances beyond my control, that income went away. I sat down, started looking and knew that I had to REALLY understand a compensation plan because whatever company I chose it would be for the long haul.
